Le present Be+V-ing
On utilise le présent be+V-ing pour décrire une action en cours de déroulement. On le forme à l'aide du verbe be au présent suivi de la base verbale à laquelle on ajoute -ing.
What are you doing? I am writing a letter.
Listen! Thomas is playing the piano.

Le présent be +V-ing est parfois associé à l'adverbe de fréquence always, il permet alors de faire un commentaire négatif, un reproche. Il marque l'exaspération de celui qui parle.
He is always eating too much!
